Privacy policy

Effective October 23, 2026

We collect as little about you as we can: your email address if you join the list, whatever you send us if you write in, and basic technical data any website receives. We don’t sell it.

This policy covers purposmanproject.com (the “site”), run by Yardline Films, LLC (“purposMANproject,” “we,” “us”). It explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the site, and the choices you have. It does not cover YouTube, Instagram, Spotify, Apple Podcasts or other platforms where you may watch or follow The PMP Show; their own policies apply there.

What we collect

Information you give us

  • Newsletter sign-up: your email address.
  • Messages: if you email us, your name, email address and whatever you choose to write.

Please don’t send sensitive personal details (health, faith, family or relationship matters) by email unless you want us to have them. If you do share a story, we won’t feature it on the show or in posts without your permission.

Information collected automatically

  • Server logs: like most websites, our host records basic request data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time of the visit. This is used to deliver the site and keep it secure.
  • Analytics: we don’t use website analytics or visitor-tracking tools. The only activity we see is newsletter activity in Kit, described below.
  • Newsletter activity: Kit, our email provider, keeps a record for each subscriber: how and where you signed up (which form or page, and when), which emails you open, which links you click, and any tags we apply based on that activity. This is tied to your email address, not reported anonymously. We use it to send you more of what you engage with and less of what you don’t.

Cookies

The site itself doesn’t set cookies. Nothing from YouTube loads until you press play on an episode; from then on, the YouTube player may set its own cookies. The sign-up form sends your email to Kit when you press “Join PMP” and loads nothing from Kit before that. If JavaScript is turned off in your browser, signing up opens a Kit page, which may set its own cookies. See “Services we use” below.

How we use it

  • To send the newsletter you signed up for (new episodes, playbooks and show news) and tailor it to what you open and click.
  • To read and reply to your messages.
  • To run, secure and fix the site.
  • To understand which episodes and topics are useful, so we can make better ones.
  • To meet legal obligations, if any apply.

We don’t use your information for anything you wouldn’t expect from a podcast newsletter, and we won’t add you to other lists without asking.

Services we use

A few outside services help us run the site. Each handles your data under its own privacy policy.

Service What it does What it receives
GitHub Pages (GitHub) Hosts and delivers the site Server log data
Kit Receives newsletter sign-ups, stores the mailing list and sends the newsletter Your email, how you signed up, and the emails you open and links you click, per subscriber
YouTube (Google) Plays embedded episodes Device and viewing data, and cookies, once you press play on an episode

Episodes on this site don’t load anything from YouTube until you press play. When you do, the player loads in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and Google’s privacy policy covers what happens in the player from then on. If you follow a link through to YouTube itself, YouTube’s usual tracking applies.

The “From the feed” posts are copied from our Instagram account onto this site when we update it, so viewing them doesn’t contact Instagram. Links to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Spotify and Apple Podcasts take you to those platforms; what you do there falls under their policies, not this one.

Sharing

We don’t sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising.

We share it only:

  • with the services listed above, so they can do their job for us;
  • if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our community or others;
  • with a new owner, if purposMANproject is ever transferred, under a policy at least as protective as this one.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe: every newsletter has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you’re off the list, and Kit stops tracking opens and clicks for you. To have your subscriber record deleted entirely, email us.
  • See, correct or delete your information: email hello@purposmanproject.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law; we’ll honor requests that apply to you.
  • Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works; embedded videos may not play.
  • Do Not Track: there’s no common standard for browser “Do Not Track” signals, so the site doesn’t respond to them. We don’t track you across other websites.

How long we keep it

We keep your email on the list until you unsubscribe, then remove it, apart from the record our provider keeps so you aren’t emailed again. We keep messages as long as needed to reply and follow up, then delete them. Server logs are kept by our host for a limited period under its own policies.

Security

The site runs over HTTPS, and we limit who can access the mailing list and inbox. No system is perfectly secure, so we collect as little as possible in the first place.

Children

The site is made for adults. It isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we’ll delete it.

Visitors outside the United States

We’re based in the United States, and our service providers may store data here or elsewhere. By using the site, you understand your information will be processed in the U.S. If you’re in the EU or UK, we rely on your consent for the newsletter and on our legitimate interest in running the site, and you can contact us to exercise your rights.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here and update the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use your email, we’ll tell subscribers in the newsletter first.
